Prior to joining Ritz Clark & Ben-Asher, Anastasia held a legal internship at McManimon, Scotland and Baumann, LLC where she assisted in deposition preparation and conducted research on the implementation of Parking Benefit Districts. As a legislative researcher at the New Jersey Office of Legislative Counsel, Anastasia formed legal opinions from examining gun case law across state and federal courts. Through her extensive research into New Jersey legislative proceedings, Anastasia also acted as an aid to the Senate Judiciary Committee’s appointment of Attorney General Matthew Platkin.

Anastasia received her B.A. and Phi Beta Kappa from Bates College, majoring in English and Politics. She graduated magna cum laude with Honors for her English Honors Thesis, “Anarchism, Dreaming, and Technology as Cures to Sexual Violence in Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Dispossessed and The Word for World is Forest.” She also completed a Politics Thesis titled, “Collective Violence Leading to Ukrainian Nationalism: A Case Study on the Russo-Ukrainian War.” Anastasia was granted the Henry W. and Raymond S. Oakes Fellowship, which is awarded to the best-qualified senior who intends to continue their education in the study of law. At Bates, Anastasia held a leadership position in Students Demand Action, where she testified for the Maine State Legislature in support of gun control. She was also a Student Judicial Advisor, the Managing Editor of Arts & Leisure of the Bates Student, and an Office Assistant/Peer Advisor for the Center for Purposeful Work.
